Christmas Holidays to Lapland with Monarch Holidays

Lapland Finland

Ho Ho Ho welcome to Lapland Finland the home of Santa Claus.

Santa Claus has teamed up with Monarch Holidays so that all the good boys and girls can come and have a special holiday visiting me in my grotto this Christmas.

You can visit for the day or for the whole week so that you can enjoy seeing Father Christmas and also Lapland.

Unlike the UK we have snow so you can have snow ball fights, go sledging, ski and have lot's of fun.

You will be given a warm welcome not just by Santa Claus, but by my Elves and other helpers.

The people of Finland are also warm and friendly as well.

About Santa Claus

I am one of the most oldest people around and I sleep during the Summer months and only awake at Christmas time so that I can deliver presents to all the good boys and girls around the World.

I am known by many names including the more popular names such as Santa Claus, Father Christmas or Kris Kringle.

A lot of people know that I live in Lapland but in some countries such as America they think that I live in the North Pole.

Sadly the North Pole is too cold and too far away from all of the boys and girls so it would be a very boring Christmas for me if no one paid a visit.

Santa Claus sleigh is how I manage to travel the World in a single night pulled by my favourite reindeer Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder and Blixem.

Dunder is also known as Donder or Donner which in German means "thunder".

Blixem is also known as Blitzen which is German for "lightning".

My youngest but most famous reindeer is called Rudolph the red nose reindeer.

All of my reindeer are very special to me, and they all play there part in pulling Santa's sleigh so when you come to visit, please pay attention too all of my reindeer and not just Rudolph.

About Lapland Finland

Lapland is a province of Finland and is called a few names by different people in the region including Lappi by the Finish and Sami people.

Finland is traditionally the home of Santa Claus even though some countries try to say otherwise.

Lapland is the home of 3.6% of the Finnish people and is the least densely populated area in Finland  which means that our Countryside is beautiful and untouched by massive towns and cities.

The biggest town in Finnish Lapland are Rovaniemi which is our provincial Capital, Kemi and Tornio.

Lapland has 185,000 happy people living here, less than 5% are Sami people whom are the indigenous people of Northern Europe.

Our currency is the Euro which means that you will need to change up all your pounds and pennies so that you can buy some nice things during your stay.

Visitors to Santa's Grotto will be given free toys.
